It's not uncommon to find restaurants on almost every street in San Diego. As San Diego locals, we love to share our recommendations for the best restaurants in San Diego with visitors and friends.
It may not be true for everyone else, but I like eating food that's above standard and I'd like to share what I know. This is why I have teamed up with San Diego's best restaurants to provide you with the ultimate restaurant guide.
You can learn about new restaurants on food tours, regardless of whether you're a local or a visitor to San Diego. You'll find some tasty treats along the way in this one.

Food is so important. Survival has never just been about staying alive. A recipe can have an origin point. Ingredients come from somewhere and come together to tell a beautiful story through their flavors. Food you eat on vacation speaks volumes about the town you're visiting.

Dobsons Bar and Restaurant
This establishment is one of the best in the country. As a downtown landmark, Dobsons has been open since the early 1980's, right next to Horton Plaza.
Wood-paneled walls, a long and well-stocked bar, and of course the delicious food, make Dobsons a popular lunch and dinner spot with a classic feel perfect for a business lunch, drinks before a show, or even a romantic date night.
You need to try the mussel bisque, which is served with a puff pastry shell that is absolutely delicious. Over one million have so far been sold, according to their website.

A great place to enjoy good food and a great atmosphere is the Prado at Balboa Park. If you are planning to go to the nearby museums and hike the San Diego Zoo, many foodies will strongly recommend a pit stop at The Prado at Balboa Park. Combining the historic charm of the location with the 4-star cuisine and grade A hospitality creates a near-perfect experience.
On top of their other delicious options, they offer vegetarian, gluten-free, and pescatarian options. Serving their specialty cocktails, wine, and draft beer is well known to their servers, so you can expect great pairings with your food. Dessert is no joke either. Every taste bud will be delighted by their elegant concept, which is infused with Hispanic inspiration.

KINDRED
San Diego, California 92102, 1503 30th St
(619) 546-9653
$$ Innovative Menu
Also, Grilled Chimichurri Barbecue Sauce
On a dark table, gourmet mac and cheese is served in a black pot with breadcrumbs.
Often, when you think of veganism you think of something extreme or bohemian. KINDRED is an exception to this rule. This is very much the opposite of what they do. It's an eclectic vegan spot that plays headbanging death metal.
Yes, you read right. Death-metal. Veganism is clearly stigmatized by them. Unless you checked the menu, you would never guess that their big brunch plates and tasty sandwiches were vegan.
In addition to their ambitious menu and style, KINDRED has a wide range of other things to offer. They also have great merch. It is available in the shop and on their website. People praise the team's attitude and dedication to providing a great experience the most. Cocktails with fresh herbs and interesting flavors aren't too shabby either. Its definitely worth a visit.

BUONA FORCHETTA
It is located at 3001 Beech Street, San Diego, CA 92102
(619) 381-4844
$$ Pizza Fresh Pasta
Italian dessert tiramisu. Traditional Italian cuisine, selective focus.
The pizza is topped with basil and mozzarella slices and is fired in a wood fire
In a curious twist, this Italian restaurant isn't located in Little Italy. There are very few amazing Italian restaurants in that area, which is a good thing. Pizza and fresh pasta are served at Buona Forchetta. Authentic Neopolitan pizza and great neighborhood charm make this pizza restaurant a favorite among locals.
Their authenticity and atmosphere are highly regarded by guests. It's clear that they've established themselves professionally. There is more to it than that, however. It is our pleasure to help you pair your fabulous lunch or dinner with the perfect beverage, alcoholic or not, no matter what your taste might be.

RESTAURANT & BUTCHER SHOP COWBOY STAR
This address is 640 Tenth Ave, San Diego, California 92101
(619) 450-5880
$$$ Steakhouse Butcher Shop
Cowboy Star is one of the amazing places where people can enjoy meat without feeling inhumane about it. Humanely treated livestock and locally grown crops are the centerpiece of their concept.
There are no untruths, I conducted my own research. Its beef is Certified Humane Angus and its seafood meets the Seafood Watch Standards. Besides having prime ingredients, they treat them with respect and integrity.
